A new worm is due to activate on Friday under several names, including “CME-24,” “BlackWorm,” “Mywife.E.” The worm is designed to corrupt common file types, such as “.doc,” “.pdf,” and “.zip,” and even tries to disable anti-virus software. According to experts, the most vulnerable are small businesses and home users, especially if they do not have the latest anti-virus software.
