Aplus.Net: Committed to Protecting Your Privacy
Now more than ever, your private information is safe with Aplus.Net. We’re happy to announce a new account validation procedure designed to eliminate the need to submit sensitive personal information (such as credit card or social security numbers) over the phone.
From this point on, all new and existing Aplus.Net account registrations will be asked to create a “Challenge Question” and answer, which will then be required before you can access your Control Panel. Of course, this special question should be something only you know, since it will serve as the password for all your account information.
With this new system in place, Aplus.Net vows to NEVER ask for your credit card data, passwords, and other sensitive data by email or phone. If you receive an email soliciting such information that claims to be from Aplus.Net, DO NOT RESPOND, and contact us immediately to let us know.

| Customer of the Month
Organized by Marcie
Congratulations to our latest Customer of the Month! Two years ago, Marcie Lovett brought her professional organizer business to the Internet with her Aplus.Net-hosted website www.organizedbymarcie.com. Today, it is generating the kind of success every small business owner dreams of.
"I am very happy with the success of my website, hosted by Aplus.Net," Marcie writes from her home office in suburban Washington, D.C. "Clients call me because they are overwhelmed by their belongings, whether paper, clothing, sports equipment, memorabilia, collections or kitchen items. My job is to help them figure out what is truly meaningful to them and what they can really part with."
Marcie continues, "I also assist clients with paper flow systems and filing, eliminating clutter and creating storage solutions. In addition, I work with clients who need training in time management and goal setting, and I speak to groups who have an interest in finding out more about getting their lives organized."
Marcie takes her job seriously, researching effective organizational methods in her off-time and also participating in nationwide forums such as the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and Women Business Owners (WBO). Her writing has also appeared in newsletters and newspapers in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Aplus.Net is proud to host the website of a proven entrepreneur. Congratulations, Marcie Lovett!

The Power of the Search Engine
If there’s one proven fact among all the uncertainties of managing your small business, it’s this: You can’t succeed without powerful search engine presence.
Why is search engine marketing so important to small business websites? Simple: It works. Search engines are quickly surpassing traditional venues like the Yellow Pages as consumers’ first choice in finding the products and services they want. In 2005 alone, advertising on search engine sites exceeded $5.1 billion dollars.1
But as everyone flocks to search engines, the field has grown more complex and fractured. Mastering search engine dominance has become a very involved process, and to really succeed, you may need to enlist the help of the experts. And, as Search Engine Watch writes, you shouldn’t hesitate to do just that: "As businesses face greater competition online, advertise across a wider range of search engines, and purchase more keyword phrases, it has become increasingly difficult for companies to handle campaigns internally. In fact, a recent study by Jupiter Research showed that half of all large marketers and over 30 percent of small marketers had trouble managing their own search engine marketing campaigns."2
That’s where Aplus.Net comes in. We have a complete suite of tools designed to maximize your search engine presence. In fact, we’ve been in front of the search engine revolution longer than most of our competitors have even been in business. We know what we’re doing; we can provide not only the tools you need to get noticed in today’s search engines, but also the experts who can guide you to success. Call 277.275.8763 today or visit our website to find out how Aplus.Net can help your search engine rankings.
In the meantime, check out the industry’s best search engine blogs for all the latest and greatest tips you need to get on top of the search engine results in your market.
- Search Engine Watch. This site provides fairly in-depth info about the search engine industry and the general searchability of the Internet. Their search engine newsletter is particularly helpful.
- John Battelle’s Searchblog. Author of "The Search: How Google and Its Rivals Rewrote the Rules of Business and Transformed Our Culture," Battelle’s site is a comprehensive catalog of everything going on in the search engine world. More of a big picture than a collection of helpful tips, it’s still suggested browsing for anyone interested in mastering the art of search engine dominance.
- Search Engine Journal. A diverse collection of informed writers add up to an insider’s site that’s comprehensive in its coverage (if not exactly aimed at the small business)
- Matt Cutts. Great reviews and insight from Google’s official search engine blogger.
Feedback? Questions? Comments? We’d love to hear from you. Please let us know what you think of the Small Business Center, so we can make sure it’s working for you.

Keep It Current!
Keeping your address current is more important than you realize, and the success of your website just might depend on it. For example: "Marty" was a happy and hard-working customer who failed to notify Aplus.Net when his email address changed. Marty didn’t realize that he was missing important emails notifying him that his domain name was about to expire. Because of this simple mistake, Marty lost not only his domain name to a competitor, he also lost countless hours of hard work and months of progress. Don’t make Marty’s mistake—Keep your information current!
