RealMetrics results are based on actual accounts set up with hosting providers, with web speeds tested every 30 minutes from five different locations across the United States. Uptime is tested by frequent loading of the account’s http address every 30 seconds, as opposed to the more common and less precise method of “pinging.” Support response time is also monitored by submitting a weekly support ticket.
