San Diego-based Web Hosting Provider Awarded First Place for October 2006
SAN DIEGO, CA, November 10th, 2006 — Aplus.Net has received the “#1 Shared Hosting Web Speed” and “#1 Shared Hosting 100% Uptime” awards for October 2006 from RealMetrics, LLC, a leading Internet performance research firm that provides independent and objective performance metrics for the web hosting industry. The award distinguishes Aplus.Net as the top web hosting provider in terms of uptime and performance.
RealMetrics methodology is based on actual accounts with hosting providers. Web speeds are tested every 30 minutes from five different locations across the United States; uptime is tested by loading the account’s http address every 30 seconds (as opposed to the more common and less precise method of “pinging”). RealMetrics also monitors support team response time by submitting a simple support ticket each week. In addition, more than 110,000 tests per day are performed on real Shared Hosting accounts established with each provider.
