Fax-to-Email is highly reliable and secure. The system is fully automated and secured by encryption.
In order to upload a recipient list, make sure your contacts are saved in a .csv file format. Locate the file on your computer and click “Import“ in order to upload the list.
In order to upload a recipient list, the user must ensure the contacts are saved into a CSV file format. CSV (Comma Separated Value) files must follow a specific format in order to be successfully imported. The user can create such a file in Microsoft Excel ensuring that when saving, the file will be saved with the .csv extension.
Note: If you wish to create your own spreadsheet of contacts, the spreadsheet must contain column headings and at the least, the contacts’ fax number.
The user can also export their contacts from Outlook into a .csv file. Please consult the Microsoft Outlook help file to learn more about exporting your contacts.
The user can check the status of their faxes in the “Outbox” section within the Fax-to-Email application. The outbox contains messages that have been queued for sending. A maximum of twenty faxes are queued at any given time (each phone number in a fax with multiple recipients is counted as a separate fax in the queue). The speed at which the queue clears will depend on the complexity of the images being faxed and the length (number of pages) of each fax.
Fax-to-Email will make 5 attempts to send a fax to each recipient. Once a fax has been successfully sent, the fax will be automatically moved from the Outbox to your Archive folder; you will also receive a notification by email that the fax was sent successfully.
You can enter semi-colons between each address into the “Destination fax number(s) ” field located within the application. Fax-to-Email allows you to send up to 20 separate fax numbers at once. Each fax number that you send to will count as a separate instance. For example, if you are sending a 3-page fax to 3 fax numbers, that counts as 9 pages from your monthly allotment.
If you do not remember your Fax-to-Email username and/or password, you will need to contact support or click on the “Forgot Password” link to have your login information emailed to you. Your username is the email address that you receive faxes to or you can also login with your Fax-to-Email number.
When someone sends you a fax, the message is delivered to the email address on your account that is associated with the fax number. Please see the information below for more details:
