Windows® Server 2008 is the newest Windows® OS for servers and is the successor to Windows® Server 2003. The 2008 version of Windows® Server OS offers improvements to patching, disk management, file storage, protocol, and active directory to save you time and money. The new Virtualization feature, allows increased hardware utilization by consolidating servers. In addition, advanced document management and team collaboration tools have been put into place. The 2008 version also provides the improved ability to build web applications, simplifies troubleshooting on a global scale, and provides improved transactional registry and management.
