I learned a long time ago in business that it is not the companies that pull off being perfect that become great companies; it is the companies that behave ethically, professionally and with concrete caring when things go bad that become great. From my experience, Aplus.net falls into this category.

Your escalations team learned of our situation after a week of frustration had gone by. You owned the situation and told me the truth - in each conversation. You remained calm, professional and truthful. Here's an unexpected twist to the story: The tech problem was unknowingly caused by us. It was not a migration problem as we all initially thought.

Your staff could have thrown their hands up. They could have said: Hey, we're out of this! Most companies would have done that - you know that's true. With your staff, though, there was not one single drop-off in quality work or professional behavior. Everyone dug in to get us up and running.

In my opinion, customers who are upset with Aplus.net because of its upgrade don't know your company. It isn't when everything is rosy that you know what a company is made of; it's when the chips are down. With this in mind, I can honestly say - even after our harrowing experience - that Aplus.net towers over other host companies.

I would like to take this opportunity to let you and everyone reading this how terrific your web hosting is. As a business owner with almost one thousand websites, I know a thing or two about hosting providers. However, when I decided to host our two largest websites — www.search-for-servers.com, a process server directory, and www.quickrepo.com, a repo company directory — we originally chose a host that lured us in with great marketing.

This company shall remain unnamed, but I will say that they are one of the largest hosting companies out there, with very well-known and prestigious clients. Based on their clients alone, we figured they must be good. Wow, we were seriously wrong about that. Probably because we were not a big-name company, we were pushed aside, our emails and phone calls went unanswered, and their billing department refused any sort of refunds though they were within their ‘guaranteed time for refunds’.

At that point, since I’d been already using Aplus.net to host some of my other sites, I switched both sites to you and have loved it ever since.

Whenever we have any problems — which is very rarely, but yes, with so many sites hosted with you, we do occasionally have questions we need answered — your live online support tool gives us instant help. Your support staff handles all our concerns quickly, with friendly and helpful attitudes.

I want to express my appreciation for the policing your organization does on new registrations. Of course, working at a bank, I am well aware of the scourge of phishing, but I never gave any thought to how registering that many domains must have looked. It looked fishy to your security team, and the newly registered domains were shut down.

Up to this, my attitude was that phishing was something that happens, and that we just have to react when we get hit by the bad guys. Now I see that domain registrars have an important role in mitigating the likelihood of phishing attempts.
